""I decided to study tai chi for meditative purposes. It turned out to be so much more than I expected. My mind is clearer and more focused. My body is more flexible and balanced. Jody is an amazing instructor who takes his time to teach and still keeps it challenging and rewarding. He's put together a great community for us, and I always look forward to seeing everyone at the classes." "

" "I am a 200 RYT Yoga Teacher since 2015 and teacher trainer, a Tai Chi teacher since 2020 and a student of Jody Rubel since 2012 . I am currently at the finish line for a 3 year teacher trainer course with Peter Wayne at the Tree of Life center in Boston, author of Harvard medical guide to Tai Chi. After studying with Jody and practicing Tai Chi, I noticed a significant difference in my personal yoga practice; taking a hot power yoga class, I find myself , holding poses longer at their fullest expression and am able to silk reel through the transitions in the flow. Jody has helped guide me into a deeper relationship with myself, and the communities that he's created have helped me to learn to socialize with and trust the people around me. Jody has not only helped me to be a better Tai Chi student, but also a better teacher. Tai Chi concepts help protect against injury by giving me the tools to helps students find that right balance that enables a sense of ease in the postures and movements. He has become a teachers teacher and is always willing to consult with me about my lesson plans and student development.""

""I've been looking for tai chi teacher for a while. I like Jody because he does individual corrections and has a deep knowledge of tai chi. He also teaches Cheng Man Ching's Yang Style 37 form. It's the form that many people around the world and NYC practice -- meaning you can travel to NYC or Boston and meet up with others that practice the same form." - Kathy Chin"
